The chapters in this textbook, developed by Ontario teachers to support the Ontario Chemistry 11 curriculum, provide support for the Foundations of Chemistry outcomes, but do not provide support for Heat or Properties of Waves outcomes. Each unit is introduced with an overview of the key concepts through a focus on STSE (Science-Technology-Society-Environment) and ends with a unit task, self-quiz and review. Each chapter incorporates mini-investigations, learning tips, tutorials, web links, ideas for further research and career links, followed by major investigations, a summary, self-quiz and review. The textbook is presented in a visually appealing manner, integrating relevant graphic representations and tables.
