Owen and Holly play a game of pond hockey with their father. Just before stopping for a cup of hot chocolate, Holly shoots the puck in an ice fishing hole. When their father takes them on a walk in the woods, the children think that their hockey game is finished. To Holly and Owen's surprise, their father makes a "prairie hockey puck" from a dead tree, and the game continues.
