Sabine is 15 years old and lives a comfortable life with her Indian parents in Uganda. In 1972, General Idi Amin declares that Indians must be weeded out of the country in 90 days. At first, Sabine cannot believe that Indians born in Uganda will be forced to leave their home. As the countdown continues, she sees the poverty and hostility around her. Sabine realizes that she has lived a life of privilege. Even her best friend, Zena, ignores Sabine. Soldiers raid the family home and Sabine's parents are forced to flee. Sabine is left to take care of her brother and find a way to escape Uganda.--Ministry of Education website.
