In the student resource, lessons begin with an opening situation that illustrates the connection between the mathematical concepts to be learned to the world beyond the classroom. Students return to this situation to solve a unit problem at the end of the unit. The lessons are divided into three parts: Explore, Connect and Practice. Each lesson ends with a reflection.
