Leaving a country because a person is under threat or they are seeking adventure, immigrants struggle with memories of things left behind - relatives, colours, smells - the familiar. The selections explore themes such as first impressions of Canada, dating, becoming Canadian, and language. Students will have the opportunity to experience what it feels like to belong.
